Wes Bentley Shaves!
Pardon me while I hyperventilate! I applauded Wes Bentley’s “Hunger Games” beard in an earlier post but I was thinking the entire time about how much I’d like to see his heavy beard prepped for a shave. Lo and behold here is this amazing photo of my fantasy made visible in a magazine spread.

The Art of Shaving has created some excellent commercials in the past year. This multilingual shaver is very sexy…. especially when he’s speaking pig Latin.
Time to Shave
When I was a kid, I created a very primitive bitmap animation on my TI 99 of a man’s beard disappearing. It took a lot of tedious work but it was oddly satisfying. These attractive men do it better, but hey, they have better technology.
My Mustache Distraction
I think this guy’s mustache is grotesque, but I can’t stop staring at him. I stumbled across this picture yesterday, and the guy is adorable, but his waxed, pointed, crazy Salvador Dalí mustache should turn me off. But somehow it doesn’t. I really can’t figure it out, but it has totally seized my imagination. Is it because I’d like to see him shave it off? No, I don’ t think so, although I would like to see him shave. I’m perplexed.

Singing Country Music While Shaving
This video really reminds me of college and hanging out with my roommate while he shaved. He was straight and it was exquisite torture for me at that age to be so close to someone looking so sexy and not being able to do anything about it. I had quite a crush, which was almost too much too endure considering that we became good friends. He would call me into his room, so he could talk to me while he shaved. Yeah, this video really brings me back to that time. The guy even looks like the object of my crush from the late 1980s: same sleepy eyes, same chest hair, similar lips.
The setup seems like the singer doesn’t know he’s being filmed, but he looks right at the camera and doesn’t seem to flinch or be surprised. Do you think he knew he was being filmed?
